Built for the person who has to answer for every child.

If you're the safeguarding officer, this page is for you: what KINLOCK checks, what it records, and how children's information is handled.

Zero-error philosophy

Designed to eliminate preventable release errors

KINLOCK doesn't rely on one check. Release passes through six independent gates before a child can be marked as released, and every outcome is written to the audit log.

01Child identityThe band belongs to an active session for this child.
02Collector identityThe collector presents a valid, unrevoked KINLOCK ID.
03PermissionKINLOCK confirms this person is allowed to collect this child.
04Photo comparisonStaff compare the approved photo with the person in front of them.
05Session statusThe child is currently checked in and eligible for release.
06Recorded handoverStaff confirm, and the release is logged with names and time.

When things don't go to plan

Refused pickups are recorded

A failed release attempt is logged, so you know who tried and when.

Lost bands stop working

A lost or replaced band is voided straight away and can't silently stay valid.

Emergency roll call

Declare an emergency and every room scans its children. Anyone unaccounted for is flagged.

Children's information

KINLOCK holds sensitive details about children, so access is limited to the people who need it.

Nothing personal on the bandThe wristband chip holds an anonymous ID. Names and medical notes stay in KINLOCK, behind a login.
Role-based accessEach staff member only sees what their role allows. Medical and allergy notes are shown to authorised workers.
Approved photos onlyPhotos uploaded by parents are checked by an admin before they're used at release.
Secure staff sign-inStaff accounts support two-factor authentication.
Audit logEvery check-in, scan, override and release is recorded. Admins can read it but not change it.
